Get Glue has announced that it's reached 2 milliion users and has recently closed a round of financing raising $12 million. Sounds like you might want to know what it is. GetGlue is a website with an accompanying app on the android and iPhone that socializes watching television, movies, listening to music, reading books, and a host of other things.
When you check-in you can see other peoples comments, too. That way you can debate about who you think Tasha Mac should date on the BET show The Game. Interestingly enough, The Game actually kicked off a promotion on the day of this seasons premiere which allowed users to converse with the Derwin character. if you're out of the loop and want to know what everyone else is watching, there's a section that shows what trending. There are stickers that you can earn based on the types of media that you check-in on. The $12 million will go towards adding new features such as visually appealing screens that put TV show artwork behind comments, making it easier to switch back and forth between multiple conversations, and the guides feature which further helps you find new media tailored to your style of shows and the like. Next time you're listening to KJLH, make sure you check-in with GetGlue what song you're listening to or what topic that we're speaking on that hits home with you. Never know what kinds of sticker you might earn.
