iBooks Author debuts at the Apple Education Event

Creating e-books with ease
There are plenty of books out there like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, or The Help that was actually turned into a movie. It inspires many people to get over those jitterbugs and actually start writing. Apple has just released an app for the iPad that makes it easier to compose and publish that great work of literature in eBook format.

iBooks Author is what it's called and e-books are what it's producing. There are so many advantages this software presents. Adding material is easy as dragging and dropping in to the window. You can add widgets to make things more interactive. Can you imagine reading The Purpose Driven Life and being able to read several different translations of a passage referred to without even leaving the page? That's possible with this software. Writer's block is a common disease so we know it's just as easy to get held up with design. Luckily, templates are made available to give you a jump-start on  what you want your e-book to look like.

They've really hit the nail on the head with ease of use. You can spark off things immediately with an instructional video on your cover page. If you're more techo-savvy, iBook Author lets you embed Jave and HTML widgets for more complex and personal content. Once you're finished, the software offer several ways to share your work with the world including submitting it to the iBookstore and iTunes U. If you have an iPad try out the software, submit your works, and let me know what it was like making your own e-books using these tools. I'd love to see what you come up with.
